Michael Bay is still attached to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and it looks like he’s being given another shot to make a movie for the franchise. Thankfully, this time around he’ll only be acting as the producer as Platinum Dunes has hired ‘Bad Words’ writer, Andrew Dodge, to handle the screenplay. There’s currently no word on whether Bay will find his way to the director’s chair, but the drop in box office earnings between his last two TMNT films will hopefully keep him at arm’s length.
It has also not yet been announced whether this will be a third chapter in the recently released Bay version of the franchise or if we will be looking at another reboot of the property.
