Jonathan Liebesman’s (Wrath Of The Titans, Battle LA) “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” reboot now has a set release date!
According to Deadline, Paramount has set the live-action TMNT reboot based on the popular indie comic created by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird for a Christmas 2013 release. This new addition will change the release schedule for two other Paramount films. “One Shot” which was previously scheduled for February 8, 2013, will now open on December 21, 2012. While Brad Pitt’s “World War Z,” which was previously scheduled for December 21, 2012, will now open on June 21, 2013.
The “TMNT” reboot is said to be about $100 million in budget and will be a “Live action-CGI combo.” I’m not sure if this changes much of anything, but it definitely won’t be short guys in foam latex turtle suits.
Superman is currently scheduled for release on July 11, 2025
The new series is set for a two-episode premiere, June 4 on Disney+.
