New Trailer For ‘Underworld: Blood Wars’

Watching the new trailer for Underworld: Blood Wars, I couldn’t help but ask myself: Why are they making more of these? then I realized that it comes down to two things. First, they are cheap and turn a studio profit, and second, Kate Beckinsale in a Leather Bodysuit is a pretty easy sell to teenage boys.

The fifth chapter in the Underworld saga finds Kate Beckinsale’s Selene, fighting the lycans, now under the brutal leadership of Marius. Only some special power or something will prevent them from losing and the Vampires being wiped off the face of the earth or something. Eh. I mean, it’s got cool disintegration effects and the action looks pretty fun, but does this need to be seen on a big screen?

Underworld: Blood Wars hits theaters in January of 2017 and stars Kate Beckinsale, Theo James, Lara Pulver, Tobias Menzies, Bradley James, James Faulkner, and Charles Dance.

Synopsis: The next installment in the blockbuster franchise follows Vampire death dealer, Selene (Kate Beckinsale) as she fends off brutal attacks from both the Lycan clan and the Vampire faction that betrayed her. With her only allies, David (Theo James) and his father Thomas (Charles Dance), she must stop the eternal war between Lycans and Vampires, even if it means she has to make the ultimate sacrifice.
