As much as I seem to be excited about the G.I. Joe Sequel, despite its year long delay, I can’t seem to give the same slack to World War Z. I know the book was great and Pitt is a good actor, it just hasn’t excited me. I get what they are doing with the swarm mentality of the zombies, but the CGI has just been so crappy that I feel like I’m watching poorly rendered people ants.
Along with Pitt, the film also stars Mireille Enos, Matthew Fox, James Badge Dale, and David Morse. It hits theaters on June 21.
Official Synopsis:
The story revolves around United Nations employee Gerry Lane (Pitt), who traverses the world in a race against time to stop the Zombie pandemic that is toppling armies and governments and threatening to decimate humanity itself. Enos plays Gerry’s wife Karen Lane; Kertesz is his comrade in arms, Segen.
