I’ve been cautiously optimistic about the 12 Monkeys TV series set to premier in January on SyFy. Now that we’ve got a trailer for the series, I’m relatively happy with what I see. While it looks like we’ll lose a lot of the weird disjointed vibe that made the Terry Gilliam film a classic, it looks like we’ll still get a pretty interesting show with a much easier to follow narrative.
12 Monkeys stars Aaron Stanford, Amanda Schull, Kirk Acevedo, Barbara Sukowa, Noah Bean, Tom Noonan, Emily Hampshire, and Zeljko Ivanek.
Official Synopsis:
12 Monkeys, starring Aaron Stanford (Nikita, X-Men: The Last Stand, X2), Amanda Schull (Suits, Pretty Little Liars), Noah Bean (Nikita, Damages) and Kirk Acevedo (Fringe), follows the journey of a time traveler (Stanford) from the post-apocalyptic future who appears in present day on a mission to locate and eradicate the source of a deadly plague that will eventually decimate the human race.
The new series is set for a two-episode premiere, June 4 on Disney+.
