Cameron Crowe, the director of films like Singles, Jerry Maguire, and Almost Famous, is heading to the small screen with his new series on Showtime. The show, Roadies, is about… well, it’s about roadies. They are the people that make sure the concert happens. They put it all together and then they take it all apart and move on to the next city.
It actually seems like a great playground for Crowe, who’ll be backed up by JJ Abrams as one of the executive producers of the series. They’ve also put together a stellar cast that includes: Luke Wilson, Carla Gugino, Imogen Poots, Rafe Spall, Keisha Castle-Hughes, Peter Cambor, Colson Baker a.k.a. Machine Gun Kelly and Ron White star in the ensemble cast. Luis Guzman, Jacqueline Byers, Finesse Mitchell, Branscombe Richmond and Tanc Sade guest star.
