There’s a new trailer out for the reboot of Child’s Play, including our first real footage of Chucky and our first listen of Mark Hamill voicing the iconic doll. The new trailer also gives us a good amount of new footage from the adult lead of the film, Aubrey Plaza.
Unfortunately, the trailer also gives us a better look at Chucky. He just looks bad. The CGI being used on the film looks cartoonish and out of place. If I’m wrong, and they are using a practical effect, that makes it even worse. As it currently stands, Chucky looks like a matte painting inserted into a live-action frame. Here’s hoping they can fix that before the film’s June, 21st debut.
Time to play. The full trailer for Child’s Play is finally here. From the producers of IT comes a modern reimagining of the horror classic. Child’s Play hits theaters June 21
