I’m still not sure this is a film that needed to be made, but I have to admit that I’m warming up to it with each new trailer. I don’t think I’m even interested in the film from a story perspective as much as I am in seeing how modern technology has advance to help us bring future-tech anime into a live action reality. As you can see from this trailer, it looks like they’ve pretty well nailed it.
Based on the internationally-acclaimed sci-fi property, “GHOST IN THE SHELL” follows the Major, a special ops, one-of-a-kind human-cyborg hybrid, who leads the elite task force Section 9. Devoted to stopping the most dangerous criminals and extremists, Section 9 is faced with an enemy whose singular goal is to wipe out Hanka Robotic’s advancements in cyber technology.
