Bryan Singer’s Jack the Giant Killer is set for a March 1st release. The more I see of it, the more I’m interested, but part of it still feels like an early 90’s episode of the Jim Henson Story Hour to me. Not that that is a bad thing, it just isn’t what I’m looking for in a big movie like this. Still, I’ve been really impressed with Hoult, so I’m going to give it a shot. Check out the newest trailer below:
Starring in the retelling of the clasic tale of Jack and the Beanstalk are Nicholas Hoult, Ewan McGregor, Eleanor Tomlinson, Stanley Tucci, Ian McShane, and Bill Nighy.
Official Synopsis:
Jack the Giant Slayer tells the story of an ancient war that is reignited when a young farmhand unwittingly opens a gateway between our world and a fearsome race of giants. Unleashed on the Earth for the first time in centuries, the giants strive to reclaim the land they once lost, forcing the young man, Jack, into the battle of his life to stop them. Fighting for a kingdom, its people, and the love of a brave princess, he comes face to face with the unstoppable warriors he thought only existed in legend—and gets the chance to become a legend himself.
