Machete was the kind of film that had some charm, but didn’t really have the legs that people try to give it just because it came from the mind of Robert Rodriguez. I was pretty surprised when I heard they were actually going to make a sequel to the film, and I figured that the first film had pretty much used up all the interesting things you can do with Trejo’s character. The new trailer proves me right.
Machete Kills is set for a September 13, 2013 release and stars Danny Trejo, Michelle Rodriguez, Sofia Vergara, Amber Heard, Charlie Sheen, Lady Gaga, Antonio Banderas, Jessica Alba, Demián Bichir, Alexa Vega, Vanessa Hudgens, Cuba Gooding, Jr., William Sadler, Marko Zaror, and Mel Gibson.
