It’s just been announced that Oscar Winner Nicholas Cage has just been cast in a new scripted adaptation of the Tiger King saga. Cage will be playing the now-infamous Joe Exotic for the new series. It’s hard to believe it, but this will actually be Cage’s small screen debut.
The show is set to run for 8-episodes and is being produced by both CBS Television studios and Imagine Television. Instead of being based directly on the wildly popular Netflix documentary, the new show will be based on an article published in Texas Monthly last year.
This isn’t the only adaptation of the Joe Exotic saga that is currently in the works. American Horror Story/ 9-1-1 producer, Ryan Murphy is reportedly also working on his own take with 9-1-1 Lonestar actor, Rob Lowe set to tackle the role.
