‘Oblivion’ Director And ‘Pacific Rim’ Writer Creating Sci-Fi Drama For AMC

I’m hoping to sneak out and catch a matinee of Joseph Kosinski’s Oblivion starring Tom Cruise on Friday afternoon. In the meantime, we’ve got some good news for fans of the director and people who are excited about the upcoming monster epic, Pacific Rim from Guillermo Del Toro and writer, Travis Beacham. THR is announcing that Kosinski and Beacham are teaming up to create a new scifi drama for AMC.

The show, titled Ballistic City, is described as the tale of “Ballistic City tells the story of a former cop thrust into the criminal underworld of a city housed in a generational spaceship destined for an unknown world. The concept is described as a blend of Chinatown and Blade Runner.
