Odin Looks Very “The Voyage Home” In Latest Thor: Ragnarok Pic

OK, maybe a little closer to The Fisher King than Star Trek 4, but this new pic does present us with what may be an interesting spoiler from the upcoming Thor sequel. You’ve been warned!

The new photo, which comes to us from Instagram, features Sir Anthony Hopkins’ Odin wandering around New York City, dressed as a crazy, homeless man. Here’s my purely speculative theory. Many people were left thinking that Loki had killed Odin and taken over his thrown at the end of Thor: Dark World. I’m guessing that he actually just wiped his mind and then banished him to Midgard. It would definitely explain the pics we’ve been seeing in the last couple of days of Thor and Loki walking the streets of NYC in plain clothes. There’s a really good chance that they are looking for their dad, as Loki has accidentally opened a gateway to hell, releasing Hela and causing a big enough problem that they need every living Asgardian to help tackle the problem, including Odin and Valkrye, who will be played by Tessa Thompson.

That’s just a guess, but I think it could be something.

Along with Hopkins, Tom Hiddleston, Chris Hemsworth, and Tessa Thompson, Thor: Ragnarok will also star: Mark Ruffalo, Cate Blanchett, and Karl Urban.
