In a move that is probably going to piss off purists, but also bring a new generation closer to the story, Disney has just announced that they’ll be taking another crack at the original trilogy by way of a new set of novels that tells the stories from different characters’ perspectives.
The three books are:
– Star Wars: A New Hope — The Princess, The Scoundrel, and the Farm Boy by Alexandra Bracken
– Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back — So You Want to Be a Jedi by Adam Gidwitz
– Star Wars: Return of the Jedi — Beware the Power of the Dark Side! by Tom Angleberger.
The three books are all set to hit amazon and bookstores on September 22.
Superman is currently scheduled for release on July 11, 2025
The new series is set for a two-episode premiere, June 4 on Disney+.
