PACIFIC RIM Viral Campaign Begins Video of Kaiju Attack Released

The viral campaign for the Guillermo Del Toro Kaiju movie, Pacific Rim Launched today and already, you can tell that the film is gearing up to be a giant sack of awesome!

So far, two videos have been released as part of the viral, The Kaiju Alert system video test and a great video that shows some snippets of a Kaiju attack on San Francisco. The Viral site also teases that something is going to happen in two weeks. That is when The Hobbit comes out, so there’s a good chance that we’ll finally get to see the trailer along with that movie. All of that falls in line with Del Toro’s promise to release a trailer in December.

Synopsis:
When legions of monstrous creatures, known as Kaiju, started rising from the sea, a war began that would take millions of lives and consume humanity’s resources for years on end. To combat the giant Kaiju, a special type of weapon was devised: massive robots, called Jaegers, which are controlled simultaneously by two pilots whose minds are locked in a neural bridge. But even the Jaegers are proving nearly defenseless in the face of the relentless Kaiju.
