Paramount Pictures is gearing up to turn their new zombie adaptation “World War Z” into a trilogy, despite the original book about a zombie war being told in just one book. According to the Los Angeles Times, both director Marc Forster and Paramount Pictures view “World War Z” not as one film, but as a full trilogy.
It’s unknown at this time how the story would be split up. But there’s a likelihood that the trilogy could be taken from the book and stretched out with a few new stories added to supplemented the trilogy. If “World War Z” does become a trilogy, it would also mark the first time actor Brad Pitt led a franchise. The closes Pitts been a franchise lead was when he stared in Steven Soderbergh’s Ocean’s movies.
Pitt’s zombie war trilogy is set to be released this December.
