As much as I’ve grown to see M. Night Shamalayan as more of a practical joke than a great director, his early films were very good. I still love Unbreakable and I don’t know why he hasn’t gone back and made a sequel, giving himself a solid chance to redeem himself after crap fests like Lady in the Water and Last Airbender.
Apparently, I’m not the only one who thinks this. Patton Oswalt agrees, and he’s now gone on record (via ScreenJunkies) with his plan for a second and third chapter for the Bruce Willis and Sam Jackson film. Check it out, you’ve got to admit that it would make a pretty great trilogy.
The new series is set for a two-episode premiere, June 4 on Disney+.
