Keith Richards might have been the first rock n’ roll legend to join Jack Sparrow for an adventure in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, but it looks like he won’t be the last.
Deadline is reporting that Disney is going back to shoot an additional set piece for the new film, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, to accommodate the added casting of Paul McCartney.
There’s no word on his role, but the film’s directors have apparently planned an “extra big set piece” just for the former Beatle.
Now, the last few Pirates films have been less then stellar. To me, it sounds like they had to go back and add something in to salvage another disappointing sequel. We’ll know when the movie hits theaters on May 26, 2017.
Along with McCartney, the movie also stars Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow, Geoffrey Rush as Barbossa, Javier Bardem as the villainous Captain Salazar, Brenton Thwaites and Kaya Scodelario as new characters, and Orlando Bloom as Will Turner.
