For the last week or so, the rumor has been going around that Peter Jackson wanted to stretch The Hobbit into a three film epic like Lord Of The Rings. In fact, it wasn’t so much a rumor as much as something he said he wanted to do at his panel during Comic Con.
Now it has been confirmed that he will be taking the 125 page appendix that was added later by Tolkien after the original printing of the books and turning them into a third film.
I can’t begin to say how excited I am about this.
