Things over at the Jean Luc Picard Star Trek Spin-Off are starting to pick up some steam and we are even starting to get some news about who will be joining him in the show. THR is reporting that Santiago Cabrera (Salvation) and Michelle Hurd (Blindspot) will join Stewart in the CBS All Access series centered on Capt. Picard’s life after the events of 2002’s Star Trek: Nemesis.
Showrunner, Alex Kurtzman has said that the show is going to give us a new look at the life of Jean Luc Picard as he deals with the fallout of the dissolution of the Romulan Empire. The first two episodes of the series are set to be directed by Star Trek: Discovery helmer Hanelle Culpepper. This will mark the first time that a Star Trek series was launched by a female director.
