Picard season one was interesting. While we can’t say that the move of making Picard a robot who just happens to have human strength and a lifespan set to end when Picard would die naturally is something we were rooting for, it was the literal deus ex machina that they needed to justify a second season. The good news for that second season is that it brings back John Delancy’s Q from Star Trek: TNG, the questionable news for that season is that it’s all about timeline shenanigans.
Along with Patrick Steward and Delancy, season 2 will feature Alison Pill, Isa Briones, Evan Evagora, Michelle Hurd, Santiago Cabrera, Jeri Ryan, Orla Brady and Brent Spiner. What we want to know is why the heck would they go through all the trouble of giving Data the send-off that they did in season 1 if they are just going to bring him back again?
Superman is currently scheduled for release on July 11, 2025
The new series is set for a two-episode premiere, June 4 on Disney+.
