Two popular characters from the comic book version of “The Walking Dead” have been cast for the fourth season of AMC’s zombie drama of the same name. It’s been revealed that Josh McDermitt will play “Dr. Eugene Porter”, while Michael Cudlitz will play “Sgt. Abraham Ford.”
Both actors are currently on location in Georgia filming the fourth season and will play pivotal roles from the comic book series.
In the comic book, Abraham is an Army Sgt who ends up becoming the muscle of group and Rick’s right-hand man. He protects Eugene who claims to be a scientist that knows about the undead outbreak and wants Abraham to help him get to Washington. It’s unknown whether their roles on the show will be similar. My best guess is, it’ll be close, or they won’t appear until later in the season when uh… the current group thins out.
