There hasn’t been a lot of news about Pixar’s Coco… or if there has, all the Disney news space has been eaten up by the success of Moana and the impending release of the live action Beauty and The Beast remake. From an animation standpoint, the film looks stunning, but it’s PIXAR, so that’s not really a surprise. What is a surprise is that they are tackling a subject matter that was just recently basis of another animated film, The Mexican City of The Dead, which was the focus of Guillermo Del Toro’s ‘Book Of Life.’ The stories look different enough, but you can expect plenty of comparison to be drawn between the two.
