TV Guide is reporting that just because ABC pulled the plug on Pushing Daisies, it doesn’t mean that we’ve seen the last of it. In fact, it may find a second life in the same way that another one of creator Bryan Fuller’s shows have. Of course I’m talking about Dead Like Me. While the show was canceled a few years ago, they went forward and made a direct to dvd movie that will be hitting shelves next month. Keep an eye out for it. It’s called Life After Death.
Kristin Chenoweth claims that Fuller has the plot for a movie already worked out. “It would wrap up a lot of the unanswered questions that people will have once they finally air our final episodes” she said, which means, basically, Fuller might be able to repurpose his plans for the second half of Season Two.
Chenoweth went on, “I’m sure that Bryan Fuller wouldn’t do it without the six main characters,” she said. “Paul Reubens was a big part of it – we have certain guest stars that are standouts that we’d want back. But he has such a great idea for it. … We all want to.”
