When Sony announced the casting of Rhys Ifans as an undisclosed villain the other day, fans began to wonder who he could possible play. Well according to The Wraps, they have learned that:
“Rhys Ifans will play Dr. Curt Connors, better known as The Lizard, in Marc Webb’s “Spider-Man” reboot”
Additionally, The Wraps also commented on how Philip Seymour Hoffman is rumored as Eddie Brock (Venom), but he won’t appear in the first film.
Regardless of who Ifans will portray, he will star alongside Andrew Garfield (Spider-Man) and Emma Stone (Gwen Stacy).
Spider-Man is set to swing into theaters July 3, 2012.
