It’s hard to imagine that Christian Bale would be in a rush to get back into the comic book movie game after filming his Batman trilogy with Christopher Nolan, but there’s a rumor making its way around the net that the actor is in talks for a role in the upcoming MCU sequel, Thor: Love and Thunder.
Take the rumor with a hefty pinch of salt. There are no details on who he might play and Marvel/Disney is currently in no comment mode. Without knowing too much about the story, it’s hard to guess the role he’d be playing, or even if he’d end up as a good guy or a villain. All we know about the film right now is that Chris Hemsworth will be back as Thor Odinson. Natalie Portman will return as Jane Foster/ Thor, and Taika Waititi will be back to both direct and voice Korg.
On a side note, Waititi did give an interview today where he said he expects the film to start shooting in Australia this August. So, don’t be surprised if Marvel stays mum on this until they make a Hall H announcement at San Diego Comic-Con this summer.
