David Tennant cast in the upcoming two-part adaption of “The Hobbit”!? Mind exploding.
According MovieWeb and the rumorville, David Tennant (Doctor Who) has been cast as Sindarin Elf King Thranduil, the father of elf archer Legolas.
Here’s what MovieWeb had to say:
“Thranduil also happens to be Legolas’ father, which sheds some light on how Orlando Bloom’s character will be reintroduced to the franchise. Tennant also recently confirmed himself for a new take on Much Ado About Nothing, so it is not clear how he plans to fit both films into his upcoming schedule.”
“The Hobbit: Part 1” is currently set for release December 19, 2012!
