It was just a couple of weeks ago that we learned Todd McFarlane had cast Jamie Foxx to star in the re-imagining of Spawn. We learned that this film will be nothing like the first cinematic attempt to bring the character to life. It will be a horror film that focuses on detectives solving crimes that somehow involve Spawn. This has led a lot of people to assume/ wish that Sam and Twitch will be appearing in the film. According to the Hashtag Show, it sounds like that’s exactly what could be happening.
According to the often right (but sometimes completely wrong) podcast, Avengers star Jeremy Renner is in talks to join the film as Detective Twitch Williams. They went on to say that in the film, Twitch will be teaming up with Spawn to help track down the man who killed his (Twitch’s) daughter.
It’s a rumor, so take it with a grain of salt, but if it’s true… this is shaping up to be a movie that could be worth watching.
