I like a rumor that will likely get proven or disproven within the next 8 hours. One of the most sought after directing gigs in Hollywood is to become part of the Star Wars Franchise. The other day it was announced that LEGO Movie directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller directing the Han Solo/Boba Fett movie. Now, it’s rumored that Jurassic World’s Colin Trevorrow will be popping on to the Hall H stage tonight as the announced director of Star Wars Episode IX.
I’ve honestly not had a chance to see JW yet, but I really enjoyed Safety Not Guaranteed. I doubt him being in the mix for the film has more to do with World making over 1.4 billion dollars at the box office in less than a month than his critically acclaimed indie flick.
So, is it real? I guess we’ll know in just a few hours.
