The art and style of Jack Kirby were on full display in the set design and costumes of Thor: Ragnarok, now it looks like Kirby’s Eternals could be joining the MCU in stage 4 of 5. This is just a rumor at this point, and I’m hoping it stays that way. We know that Warner Bros is planning a film around Kirby’s New Gods, and there’s a legitimate concern that an ‘Eternals’ film could be a reactionary move. That alone is a reason to think that the rumor is false. Marvel has been anything but reactionary in their plan for the MCU, and it doesn’t make sense that they’d start now.
From Wikipedia:
The Eternals are a fictional race of humanity appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. They are described as an offshoot of the evolutionary process that created sentient life on Earth. The original instigators of this process, the alien Celestials, intended the Eternals to be the defenders of Earth, which leads to the inevitability of war against their destructive counterparts, the Deviants. The Eternals were created by Jack Kirby and made their first appearance in The Eternals #1 (July 1976).
