OG Mighty Morphin Power Ranger fans might wanna get excited because The Hashtag show is reporting original Red Ranger Austin St. John is set to appear in a new crossover event for the current Power Rangers series, Beast Morphers.
Seventeen years after the most monumental crossover in Power Rangers history, “Forever Red,” it appears the original Red Ranger may finally be ready to return to the franchise he helped build. According to the report, St. John is set to reprise his role as Jason, the original Red Power Ranger. This would be the first time he has donned the tights and helmet since the 2002 crossover event, Forever Red.
The new crossover is set to be an adaptation of the movie Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger vs. Go-Busters: Dinosaur Great Battle! Farewell, Eternal Friends. In that movie, all of the dinosaur-themed rangers teamed up with the “Go-Busters/ Beast Morphers.” If this is true, it would fall in line with rumors from THS that Dino Charge actors Brennan Mejia (Tyler Navarro/Red), Yoshi Sudarso (Koda/Blue), and Davi Santos (Chase Randall/Black) have also been spotted on set in New Zealand.
