When news first broke about Harrison Ford’s on-set injury with the door of the Millennium Falcon on the set of Star Wars Episode VII, it was said that he’d broken his ankle, but that there would be no delays in production. Now, it is being reported that he actually broke his leg and rumors are popping up that it may force a delay in the release of the film.
We know that the injury is going to keep Ford off his feet for 8 weeks. This new rumor is that the injuries are going to cause a significant delay for filming and that production of Episode VII could be pushed back “by a substantial amount of time”. This would mean that there’s no way that they’d make their December 2015 release date… something Abrams might actually be happy about as he initially pushed for a May 2016 date.
