Russo Bros Ask ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ Fans To Avoid Being Dicks

For fans of Marvel’s Avengers, the biggest fear associated with Avengers: Infinity War isn’t that Cap or Iron Man may die, but that some asshat will spoil the movie for them before they get a chance to see it. With less than a month to go until the film hits theaters, the Russo Brothers have taken to the internet with a cordial request that you don’t spoil the film for anyone.

To the greatest fans in the world,

We’re about to embark on the Avengers: Infinity War press tour. We will be visiting fans all over the world screening only a limited amount of selected footage from the film in order to avoid spoiling the story for future viewers.

We will not screen the film in its entirety until the Los Angeles premiere shortly before the film’s global release. Everyone involved with the film has worked incredibly hard for the past two years maintaining the highest level of secrecy. Only a handful of people know the film’s true plot.

We’re asking that when you see Infinity War, in the coming months, that you maintain the same level of secrecy so that all fans can have an equal experience when they watch it for the first time. Don’t spoil it for others, the same way you wouldn’t want it spoiled for you.

Good luck and happy viewing.

I really hope that people are able to avoid spoiling the film, but you’ve got to know that there are some people who will actually make it their mission to spoil the film for as many people as possible. I promise that we will not post any spoilers from the film until it has been out for at least a week. For your own safety, avoid comment threads of any kind in the week leading up to the movie’s release. There will be several people out there with the express goal of trying to ruin it for you, and comment threads are a very popular place for people to drop spoiler bombs.
