Fans are reeling and angry over the exit of Spider-Man from the MCU. In fact, there’s already a new petition to show Sony and Disney how much keeping him in the MCU means to fans that has already garnered 30,000 votes!
The biggest fallout from Spidey’s exit is of course that Tom Holland’s Spider-Man will no longer appear in any upcoming Avenger films and no MCU characters will appear in future Spidey films. What most people aren’t even thinking about is the fallout of what could have been. We’re talking about the fan’s wet dream of a crossover between Tom Holland’s Spider-man and Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool.
The subject came up on twitter yesterday when a fan asked Reynolds if we would ever see the movie. To hopeful fans, the answer was heart-breaking.
