Deadline is reporting that both Sam Worthington & Zoë Saldana have signed on to star in Avatars 2, 3, and 4. Both stars will be reprising their original roles in the movies, the first of which is set to start filming by the end of this year. It wasn’t really news that the two stars would be in Avatar 2 and Avatar 3, but the addition of a 3d sequel required contract negotiations to lock them down for the 4th installment.
This means you won’t be seeing either actor in many other projects for the next few years as the sequels are set to be filmed back to back (like Lord Of The Rings).
The first sequel is set to hit theaters in December of 2016, with chapters 3 and 4 hitting in December of 2017 and 2018 respectively.
