Edgar Wright’s Scott pilgrim Vs. The World seems to be steamrolling right along with its development with even more casting news. Currently, the cast already includes Michael Cera, Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Chris Evans, but new to hop on board are Brandon Routh and Brie Larson.
Scott Pilgrim is a comic book adaptation of the same name, that follows the story of a slacker named Scott Pilgrim (Cera) who in order to be with his dream girl Ramona Flowers’ (Winstead), must fight and defeat all seven of her evil exes.
According to EmpireOnline, Evans is currently slated to play evil ex #2, a pro-skater turned movie star, while Routh is evil ex #3, a rocker whose veganism gives him unnatural superpowers.
While Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World won’t be out anytime soon, the fifth book is due out next month and comes highly recommended!
Superman is currently scheduled for release on July 11, 2025
The new series is set for a two-episode premiere, June 4 on Disney+.
