Screenwriter John Michael Hays dies at 89

There’s a solid chance that there’s a lot of you who have no idea who John Michael Hays. Sadly, a lot of you, might not even recognize some of the movies he wrote for screen. He’s best known for collaborating with Alfred Hitchcock on Rear Window, The Man Who Knew Too Much, To Catch a Thief and The Trouble With Harry.

Other films he wrote include Joan Crawford’s 1953, Torch Song, Lana Turner’s Peyton Place, and the 1994 film, Iron Will. He and his talent will be missed.
