In a new interview with IGN, Simon Kinberg talked a bout the direction of the upcoming Star Wars films, specifically where they’ll be drawing their inspiration from. Kinberg is currently working on Star Wars Rebels and is rumored to be involved in an alleged Star Wars/ Boba Fett film. The basic gist of it is that, as far as they are currently concerned, the cannon for the Star Wars universe comes entirely from the current six films, not from the expanded universe.
