Karl Urban (Judge Dredd) has been teasing fans all Comic-Con week that he’d be releasing some sort of exclusive Star Trek 2 footage at the end of the week. The hype was escalated as Trek 2 writer Damon Lindelof was even quoted as to not having any idea what Urban was referring to, stating that he was “off the reservation.”
But as a man of his words, Urban did just as he promised. Except the clip wasn’t what most had in mind…
The footage begins well with the opening of the Star Trek 2 logo, but then cuts to footage of Urban surfing and a lot of other nonesense. The only real Star Trek 2 “footage” came at the end when we see the film being wrapped.
