Marvel day is living up to its name with the news that is coming out of the Marvel TV panel. Last year was already a pretty big year for Marvel animation. Now it looks like they are up to some big changes and we’ve got them all right here.
The big news is that we’ll be getting a couple new shows, a replacement show and the return of a show that a lot of fans hates all last year.
First up, let’s talk new shows:
Jeph Loeb hosted the panel and had a lot of news to share.
A lot of people were really upset to hear that The Mighty Avengers are getting the can. Loeb defended the idea by trying to tell the crowd that the new Avengers Assemble show isn’t replacing Mighty Avengers, it is just the continuation of the show.
During the panel, the explained that they would be trying to keep the feel of Bendis’ New Avengers comic in the cartoon, then they showed some footage of the show which featured a dragon attacking NYC Iron Man is there, On the Quinjet is thor and Hulk and then Hawkeye and Cap are in their own crafts.
Hulk and the Agents of SMASH.
Let me start out by saying that I don’t like the name of this show. It is currently in the early stages and is being written by Paul Dini. The footage that they showed in the panel featured she-hulk, red hulk and Skaar. Like Ultimate Spider-Man, this one will be aimed at the small kids.
Ultimate Spider-Man
Despite a good amount of nerd rage, the show is the #1 cartoon on Disney XD. Next Season will feature a lot of new villains including Lizard, Rhino, Beetle, and Electro.
Motion Comics: Some of the new Motion Comics on the way include Inhumans by Paul Jenkins and Jae Lee, Wolverine: Origins by Joe Quesada, Paul Jenkins and Andy Kubert, Eternals by Neil Gaiman and John Romita, Jr., Wolverine: Weapon X by Jason Aaron, Esad Ribic, and Ron Garney, and Ultimate Wolverine vs. Hulk by Damon Lindelof and Leinil Francis Yu!
