SDCC 2014 – JUPITER ASCENDING Comic-Con Panel Recap And New Trailer

Saturday is turning out to be an epic day for Comic Con… and we haven’t even gotten to the Marvel panel yet! Next up in our coverage is the Panel for Jupiter Ascending, the new sci fi action film from The Wachowskis.

Admittedly, Channing Tatum and Mila Kunis sound like an odd pairing for an intergalactic adventure, but the trailers have been pretty spectacular so far and the new one released in today’s panel gives a better feeling than ever for both the story and it’s epic feel.

Unfortunately, Kunis was not in attendance today because, as moderator Chris Hardwick said, she’s super pregnant and the Wachowskis were off filming their new Netflix series. Instead, Tatum was there to present the new trailer. There really wasn’t much beyond that, but the trailer was so great that there didn’t need to be.

Official Synopsis:
Jupiter Jones (Kunis) was born under a night sky, with signs predicting that she was destined for great things. Now grown, Jupiter dreams of the stars but wakes up to the cold reality of a job cleaning other people’s houses and an endless run of bad breaks. Only when Caine (Tatum), a genetically engineered ex-military hunter, arrives on Earth to track her down does Jupiter begin to glimpse the fate that has been waiting for her all along—her genetic signature marks her as next in line for an extraordinary inheritance that could alter the balance of the cosmos.
