It was officially announced at SDCC today that the upcoming “Green Lantern” reboot will be officially titled “Green Lantern Corps.”
While no other information was present, it’s been teased earlier that Chris Pine may take up the mantle and replace Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan. With the new change, one this is clear, WB is not limiting Green Lantern to just one GL character. There are even some rumors that instead of Hal Jordan, the upcoming “Justice League” films may instead feature another GL Corp member, John Stewart. If I were a betting man, I’d say WB will try to squeeze in as many GLs as they can.
“Justice League: Part One”, is set to debut November 17, 2017, while its sequel is tentatively set for a June 14, 2019 release. Meanwhile, “Green Lantern Corps” is currently slated for a June 19, 2020 release date.
