SDCC 2015 SUICIDE SQUAD Trailer Released Officially

Last night, the net was buzzing about how angry the studios were about the Suicide Squad and Deadpool trailers leaking. While Ryan Reynolds took to twitter and rationally explained that the trailer will get released in 3 weeks when the VFX shots are completed, Warner Bros put out a statement about how disappointed they were. This led to an online debate about whether companies would stop bringing trailers or whether they should just be prepared to release everything after their Hall H panels. Some people went as far as to say that this would kill comic con because people go there just to see exclusive trailers. Personally, that sounds like BS to me. There’s no ways that people go to comic con just to see trailers. It might actually be one of the stupidest arguments I’ve ever heard… but I digress.

Now that the whining is over and 24 hours have passed, WB has just released the official Suicide Squad trailer… along with this statement.

“Warner Bros. Pictures and our anti-piracy team have worked tirelessly over the last 48 hours to contain the Suicide Squad footage that was pirated from Hall H on Saturday. We have been unable to achieve that goal. Today we will release the same footage that has been illegally circulating on the web, in the form it was created and high quality with which it was intended to be enjoyed. We regret this decision as it was our intention to keep the footage as a unique experience for the Comic Con crowd, but we cannot continue to allow the film to be represented by the poor quality of the pirated footage stolen from our presentation.”
