SDCC 2019 – Marvel’s ‘Black Widow’ Release Date, New Details

Marvel’s Black Widow was the first Phase 4 film that we learned about, post Infinity War. The movie is currently in production and things are moving fast towards a newly announced release date of May 1, 2020.

One of the big things we learned in the panel is who will be joining her on-screen. The already announced Florence Pugh is playing Yelena Belova, the new Black Widow, and they’ll be joined by Stranger Things star David Harbour, O-T Fagbenle, and Rachel Weisz. We also know that the film will see her going up against The Task Master as seen in this concept art:

Here’s what Johannson told fans in Hall H about how Black Widow has become fully-realized in the new film:

“I get to play Natahsa as a fully realized woman and in all of her many facets, I’m excited for fans to see the flawed side of her, what she perceives to be the flawed side of her, and I’m looking to wipe out some of that red in my ledger so you guys will be seeing more of that.”
