The second show up in the Star Trek Panel today is the CBS All Access hit, Star Trek: Discovery.
Today we learned that Nightflyers star David Ajala has been set as a new series regular for the third season of the show. He’ll be playing a new character that goes by Cleaveland Booker. The character will be a devil-may-care type of guy who sometimes finds himself writing checks that his butt can’t cash.
The other big announcement about the season is that Alex Kurtzman told fans the show will be jumping around 1,000 years into the future. That’s further than any Star Trek series has ever time traveled before.
Season 2 of the series ends with the Discovery going into a worm hole. When they come out, the crew of the ship are going to have to find each other in a completely foreign environment and time.
