After months of speculation that had fans all but positive that the role was going to either Brooklyn Nine-Nine’s Stephanie Beatriz or GLOW star Allison Brie, Deadline is now reporting that Marvel Studios has cast Orphan Black star, Tatiana Maslany in the lead role for their upcoming She-Hulk series on Disney+.

Maslany is a great pick for the role. If you’ve ever seen Orphan Black, you know that she’s not only a tremendous character actor, but she is adept at playing different but similar characters (Orphan Black had her playing several different clones of herself). In She-Hulk, she’ll not only be the hero, but she’ll be Jennifer Walters, Attorney at Law.

Much like the comic book, it appears that the new Disney+ series will be one that looks to blend humor and action. If there was any doubt in it, the fact that Kat Coiro (Brooklyn Nine-Nine) has been tapped to direct the series and Jessica Gao (Rick and Morty) has been set to run the writer’s room.
