Lionsgate International revealed the official title to “Silent Hill,” the long awaited sequel based off the popular horror video game as “Silent Hill: Revelations.” In addition to the official title, Michael J. Bassett was announced as the director for the 3D horror sequel which will begin production soon.
I can’t say I know much about Bassett, other than the fact that he developed “Solomon Kane” and “Deathwatch” which weren’t great movies but still watchable. The first film didn’t blow anyone away, but it was good enough to warrant a sequel so fans can probably expect about the same. It’s definitely a fan film similar to all the endless “Resident Evil” sequels.
“Silent Hill: Revelations” will follow a young girl named Heather Mason who, on her 18th birthday, is haunted by nightmares and the disappearance of her father.
