Simon Pegg and Karl Urban are currently hard at work on the set of J.J Abrams’ Star Trek sequel where they will be reprising their roles as Scotty and Dr McCoy. That doesn’t mean they still can’t make time for some fun. The two actors sent out a special birthday greeting today to the long running comic/magazine 200AD, which just turned 35 years old.
In the video, Pegg recalls some of his absolute favorite 200AD stories from over the years and then Urban does something awesome. He gives us a birthday greeting for the magazine, but he does it in his character voice for Dredd. We have seen some photos of Urban as Judge Dredd, but this is the first time we’ve heard the voice that will be coming out from under the helmet!
