Showbiz411 is reporting that both Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones will to reprise their previous roles in Men In Black and have signed on to director Barry Sonnenfeld’s new “Men in Black 3D.”
Not much else is known other than the fact that it will be in 3D, and is slated for a May or June 2011 release to make up for Sony’s lack of any big tentpole releases. If MiB 3D does drop in the summer Smith would not only be up against aliens but some heavy hitters like Marvel’s “Thor,” “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides,” and “The Hangover 2.”
MiB 3D appears to be the first movie Smith will appear in since “Seven Pounds,” although he’s been linked to several other titles such as Francis Lawrence’s “The City That Sailed,” and most recently “Independence Day 2.”
