It looks like 2011 is going to be one hell of a year for Marvel fans. Columbia is announcing that the fourth installment of the Spider-Man franchise will be released on May 2, 2011. When it does hit the big screen it will be make its way to both traditional and Imax theaters.
This date officially makes the summer of 2011 Marvel’s bitch. May will have Spidey, Thor will be hitting screens June 17th, and Captain America will be making his large screen debut on July 22nd.
As it stands right now, Sam Raimi will be directing and both Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst will be returning.
